 Personal Background: While majoring in childrens studies at Eastern Washington University, I did my observations at North Wall Schools where I fell in love with the staff and children.  This will be my fifth year at North Wall and my fourth year as a lead teacher.  I am excited for the road ahead of me!

Philosophy of Teaching: It is my belief that children are gifts from God.  My goal as teacher is to encourage the children to be the best they can be.  I do this by being positive, respectful, and nurturing.  Teamwork between parents, teacher, and child is the primary foundation in helping children grow and flourish through their  educational years.

Goals for the Class:

  • Develop self- awareness
  • Develop independence
  • Have a safe, secure, stimulating environment
  • To plan purposeful activities that allows children to explore through sensory, physical, emotional, and cognitive domains.
  • To work as a team with families to support each student

Class Schedule:

7:30 - Arrival time and snack

8:30 - Diapers

9:00 – Circle, Songs, and Learning Centers  (Language/Literacy, Cognitive, Creative Expression, Social/Emotional & Physical)

10:00 - Diapers

10:30 - Outdoor time

11:15 - Lunch

12:00 - Nap time (quiet activities for those awake)

2:30 – Diapers

2:45 – Afternoon snack

3:00— Circle, Songs, and Learning Centers  (Language/Literacy, Cognitive, Creative Expression, Social/Emotional & Physical)

4:00—Outdoor time


4:45 - Late afternoon snack

5:00 - Free exploration
